Industry Days #1 - UPM - February 2025
I had the
pleasure of participating in the 1st Industry Day #ID1 of the European project USES2 Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions held in Madrid at the Universidad
Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). The event brought together companies, academic experts,
researchers, and engineers to discuss the challenges of StructuralHealthMonitoring (SHM) and to present the research
progress within USES2.
The days were marked by expert presentations, round tables, demonstrations, and
a poster exhibition showcasing the research projects of the 11 doctoral
candidates involved in the project, where I had the opportunity to present my
research project. I warmly thank Antonio Fernández López and UPM for their hospitality and
excellent organization of the event.
The USES2 Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions project aims to develop and combine
novel emerging sensing technologies, such as optical fiber and wireless
piezoelectric sensors, with advanced processing methods based on imaging
techniques, to address the limitations of current structural monitoring systems
and meet the demands of industries and the market.
I am enthusiastic about the results achieved so far and look forward to the
future collaborations and innovations that will emerge from this initiative.
